Roksanda Pre-Fall 2015

I've been really moody lately. Senioritis has kicked in and I don't find meaning in my everyday activities as much as I used to. My mind is empty and my body is achey. The bright colors and straight lines of this show are pleasantly calming compared to my unorganized and dull life.

I wonder what this line does for others? Does it look too much like kindergartners coloring book? (One who is very good at the coloring in the lines). Are the colors too much like easter eggs or slightly too bright for everyday wear? I think each piece looks like a modern art painting, something I would find in the MOMA in NYC.

Either way, Roksanda is my inspiration for the day. See what you can get from it.

Valentino Pre-Fall 2015

Style.com is excellent for seeing the most recent runway shows from your bedroom. I've been doing so almost exclusively since I discovered this website.

I was impressed with Valentino's Pre-Fall 2015 collection. Celia Birtwell was inspired by Sandro Botticelli's La Primavera,  and created the floral prints. The 1900's collared dresses are rejuvenated with a short, slim cut. The floral pattern looks more sophisticated set on a black background.  The line is playful, pretty, and powerful.
